Katie and Nick's one year elopement party at Folklore Village, Dodgeville, WI.

So if you guys have been following along for a while, you'll remember Nick and Katie, who eloped last year, are cute as hell, and two of the coolest kids you'll ever meet. This August they threw their exact one year elopement anniversary at the gorgeous Folklore Village and since these lovebirds are beautiful friends of mine(and my hubby was the best man!) I was lucky enough to be there to document it.

If you want your heart to melt, what on this earth is sweeter than the groom and his best friends and family hand picking half of the flowers the night before? While the bride and her bestie grab the rest at the farmers market the morning of? It's a perfect fit for these two, since they're both horticulturalists! Plus, the groom did the flower arrangements himself(with a little help from friends and photographers), a labor of love so sweet you won't be able to stand it. 

Every bit of their day was heartfelt, genuine, homegrown goodness. Instead of a traditional ceremony, they had a big gathering with speeches from all of their loved ones, friend, family you name it. Hilarious, emotional, lovely proof that you can make your day exactly how you want it.
